The end of the See Me Hear Me project

30 October, 2024

By Anabela Mateus from Lusófona University

We have reached the end of the implementation of the See Me Hear Me project. As the leading partner of the consortium, Lusófona University would like to thank all the partners involved, Eurospeak, Defoin, E-School, Padil, and Reset, for their dedication and hard work throughout the entire duration of the project.

All the partners met on a regular basis to check the progress of the tasks in hand and discuss future steps for each Work Package. This way, it was possible to maintain a seamless workflow that contributed to meet all the deadlines and the quality of the results produced. These monthly meetings also created the perfect of opportunity to develop the excellent collaborative work among the partners. Altogether, we held twenty online meetings and three transnational project meetings in Lisbon – Portugal, Madrid – Spain, and Tunes – Tunisia.

The consortium of the See Me Hear Me project is very proud of the results produced:

  • The Evaluation Toolkit for Refugee and Migrant Representation in the Media;
  • The SEHEME Case Studies Booklet;
  • The Foreign Language for Media Literacy e-course;
  • The Home & Away online magazine;
  • The SeHeMe Training.

We truly believe that these results addressed the priorities identified, namely: inclusion of marginalised young people, integration of refugees and migrants, medial literacy and disinformation and the promotion of active citizenship of young migrants and refugees.

In our opinion, the integration of young migrants and refugees in their host countries is of the utmost importance if we want to build a just and tolerant society and we are happy to modestly contribute to that with the work developed by the See Me Hear Me project.

Well done everybody and thank you very much!
