September 12 2024

By Artemis Driva from Eurospeak

The Foreign Language for Media Literacy e-course, which is the third output of the second work package of the SeHeMe project has been improved and finalised and can be accessed from the project’s website here. It is currently available in the English and Spanish language and it will soon be available also in Portuguese, in Greek and in Arabic.

As far as the content of the 8 Modules is concerned, we suggest you read our previous article titled: “The SeHeMe e-learning platform” developed by Maria Kotrotsiou from E-School. The aim of this article is to inform you about how to enroll to the e-learning platform. We have created a tutorial video for this reason, which you can watch here.

Listen to Kelsea, guiding you on how to navigate to the SeHeMe’s e-learning platform by following 3 simple steps. Kelsea explains it comprehensively and accurately in a short video for about a minute. The video is subtitled in English and by the end of September it will also be subtitled in Greek, in Spanish, in Portuguese and in Arabic. In other words, both the eight modules and the tutorial video will be available in all partners’ languages.

Upon your registration to the e-learning platform, you will watch in the tutorial video where you can access all the lessons, quizzes and course materials. You will be able to check the eight modules with the different topic each of them covers. An overview of the modules can be seen here. Each module is broken down into lessons. Once you are in a module, there is a bar to facilitate you checking your progress. In the video there are detailed instructions on how to navigate to SeHeMe’s e-learning platform. Additional resources can be found in all modules to deepen your understanding, so don’t forget to check them!

Our aim was to develop a user-friendly e-learning platform so that as many users as possible can benefit from it. It is targeted primarily to young migrants and secondly to whoever deals with migrants, such as educators, social workers and trainers. Summing up, the Foreign Language for Media Literacy e-course undoubtedly provides migrants with the necessary vocabulary and grammar needed to express themselves elaborately to have their voice heard and be taken seriously by the host society.
